Find a Doctor:

If you have not been officially diagnosed with DE, please see a doctor!  The internet is no substitute for actual medical care ... unless it provides access to qualified medical care.  And actually, there are services for that!

I get it -- not everyone has a personal physician, and many don't have insurance.  Here is a great way to see a physician from the comfort of your home via a video consultation.

Book an online appointment with a board certified physician:

My personal recommendation for online consultations:

MDLive -- this is my favorite telemedicine service by far.  I have used MDLive for a variety of illnesses and conditions over the last several years.  I have had consistently excellent care from a variety of practitioners.  It's affordable, reliable, with ridiculously short wait times (usually 15 minutes from booking an appointment to getting a call from the doctor) and a wonderful option when you either can't afford a regular doctor or can't get away from work to wait in Urgent Care or your doctor's office.

MDLive is covered by some insurance policies, but as of early 2021 it is between $0 to $95 to book a dermatology appointment, depending on if you have insurance.  (Urgent Care visits cost $82 or less.  You can even book a counselor for $108 or less.)  Highly HIGHLY recommend!  (Be sure to download the app and you will be able to FaceTime your doctor from anywhere.)

I haven't used Teledoc, but I've heard good things about the service:

Teledoc (made available through Aetna)
Teledoc for Blue Shield CA (covered by Blue Shield of CA PPO)

Online Dermatologists:
Get those hands back in shape!
There is also telemedicine specific to dermatology only:

As of early 2021:

SkyMD Dermatology Accepts most commercial insurance in 38 US states including Anthem Blue Cross/BCBS, Blue Shield, United Healthcare, Cigna and Aetna
Dermatologists On Call $75 and under for board certified dermatologists
Snapmed Dermatologists Online submit pictures for answers within hours from Norweigan certified dermatologists.  Starting at $35
First Derm from $29.95, for board certified dermatologists

What about an Online Naturopath?

I recently learned about this:

Consult A Naturopath  Seven licensed naturopaths offering online consultations, nutritional supplements, lab tests and diet/lifestyle plans.  I have not used this service, but I'm intrigued.  I have a a personal naturopathic physician and appreciate the nutritional and holistic guidance of this modality, especially when dealing with allergies, autoimmunity and skin issues.
